Syndi N Poker: TEXAS "Holdem" STYLE

Last night we had another one of the home games that consisted of Texas Hold'em and friends. I think I am back on the track. I finally after a lot of defeats lately... come out the winner. I am unsure if I have just been in a mood or what, but I am glad that I got the win last night. It gives me a sense that I haven't lost my touch. The last 3 or 4 games...I am old and can't remember, lol... I have been out 2nd or 3rd. I couldn't even make it down to the heads up. That is totally ridiculous for me.

It came down to me a Rich. He is the one I have been telling you guys about. He won his first real money tournament a few weeks ago. Anyway, he was way up on me when we got down to heads up. Mind you... heads up is my game. He doubled me up when I went all in pre-flop with suited connectors KQ. I got the straight-flush. He called with KJ off suit. The next double up was when I limped in with a pair and flopped trips. He had been betting big pre-flop from the start of the heads up match (just as I had taught him....aggression). I played it a bit tighter cause I was on the short stack. It was like I did everything right last night. The last hand he went all in pre-flop and I called with A2. He had Jrags (I think). I sucked out the Ace on the river. It was actually a very good game!
