Syndi N Poker: TEXAS "Holdem" STYLE

My husband (Kevin) and neighbor (Rich) went to a home game tournament of Texas Holdem, where there was cash to be made. As most of you know, we play here at my home tournament style but for a trophy not cash with the neighbors. In the beginning, they never really played poker so didn't have any of the skills or knowledge as to how to win. It was a call fest a first. Over the time that we have been playing... I have been showing them my techniques and sharing my knowledge with them to become better poker player.

I am proud to announce that Rich came in first place at the tournament!! This was his first cash game and he did great. Whoo Hoo! Way to go Rich. He was so excited that he came in after the game and thanked me and gave me a high five. I was so proud. His heads up was never very strong, but after listening to my advice he takes home the win. Awesome job there Rich! I can't wait to see how you fare next time. Keep it up.

Kevin came in 5th place. Not one of his finer days. He just couldn't get any cards. It was impossible to bluff or come over the top of someone cause most of the players were such novice that they called everything no matter what...then suck it out. All in all though the guys had a good time. Better luck next time my love. :P
